Lyrics: The Solo Hobo

Dedicated to Edwin Kho for giving me the first three lines.

Wake up smelling like a hobo
My mind is caught in a limbo
My stomach is twisted with a combo
My whole world is moving in a slow mo
Oh, I wish to god I know
Oh, why, Oh, why, did you let me go?

I’m a homeless man without your love
I’m a vagabond without a dance or song
I’m a lost puppy without a turf
I am bozo who knows not what’s wrong.

Nightmares are panhandling my brains,
Delusions keep bumming round and round
A rolling stone in a filthy drain,
That’s who I am, a vagrant and a clown.

How does a beggar expect an answer?
How does a destitute go on alone?
Can a tramp’s life get any better?
When the love of his life is gone?

Wake up smelling like a hobo
Singing the blues of a man going solo
